At a young age I loved to read. Then, out of the blue I began to hate reading. The reality of the situation was simple: I'm a slow reader. School reading assignments are not meant for slow readers. Read chapters 1 - 4 in one night? Yea, how about one week?! I was so frustrated that I refused to read. Thankfully, as time went on, I learned to love books again, which is good. What kind of librarian hates books?
I started reading young adult books when I was a sophomore in high school, when a good friend suggested Go Ask Alice. 98% of the time you will find me with a YA book in hand, but occasionally, you may catch me reading a book written for adults. I prefer realistic fiction, horror, suspense, science fiction and fantasy, in both adult and young adult novels.
In addition to reading, I enjoy video games, cooking, taking naps, and cats.
