I am THE quintessential BabyBoomer - born in 1952 - I've lived through the idyllic Eisenhower years and the Kennedy assassination; the tumultuous 60's and disco 70's; the "big hair" 80's and tech boom 90's; Y2K and 9/11.
I'm rooted in the literature of Kerouac, Mailer, Roth; the groundbreaking movies of the 70's - Bonnie and Clyde, 2001: Space Odyssey, Apocalypse Now; the politics of Nixon and Buckley and Vidal; the society of Warhol's Studio 54 and Capote's Black and White Ball. But my passion lies with America of the 1920s and 30s - the years of Hemingway, Fitzgerald and the expatriate community in Paris - the "Lost Generation".
I love such diametrically opposed things as Downton Abbey and Breaking Bad; Goodfellas and The King's Speech; Sinatra and The Stones; Romanovs and Druids.
I've visited over 30 countries and am still insatiably curious about politics, history, science, and music. But mostly, I'm curious to see: what's going to happen next?
